The Covid Diary

When the first UK lockdown began, in 2020, I started to keep a visual diary. I thought it might be an important document, if not to others then definitely to me. It also helped me concentrate on something other than the news (though the news often crept in).

Eventually I stopped keeping it. By that time we not only had the Covid crisis to deal with, we also had the killing of George Floyd in America and the subsequent protests all over the world. The internet became a constant stream of anger, and though that anger was mostly justified, I couldn't find pleasure in finding things to draw.

So as you will see, after 27 pages and 25 different drawings, it just ends. And so does this description. I hope you enjoy the illustrations because I (mostly) enjoyed making them.
